Rest in Peace to the beautiful soul that was Vincent Nguini.

“He was the most creative musician I’ve ever worked with” – Paul Simon about his friend and collaborator.

Vincent’s guitar playing was so unique, it trickles and flows through the music like a river; never overpowering it, but creating the most gorgeous space and current to the music.

He brought an hypnotic flavour to Paul Simon’s work, from 1991’s Rhythm of the Saints all the way to his last record Stranger to Stranger; a style as intricate but as gentle and understated as the man himself.

A great loss to music, though his music lives on.
