I had chance to pop out for a couple of hours to catch my all-time favourite local band The BlueYellows (more like family as we’ve been friends and collaborators for so many years in one form or another) at the Audlem Festival.

It was great to catch up with my friend and awesome drummer Mike Heathcote from our old band Brave New World who lives locally and had popped down to see the BYs too. Although the weather was typically English for a bank holiday (I.E peeing it down), the mighty BYs had the crowd enraptured as they worked through old and new originals and some covers with their own spin.

I had to come away before the end, but glad I came out to see the always wonderful set from the BYs. My friend Mike commented on how tight the band are and the natural chemistry they have on stage and he was/is right. Always a pleasure.

Here are some photos from the gig and a couple of videos of old fan favourite ‘Big Low Copper Moon,’ and new song ‘Where is the Lorax.’
